Salomon QST 99 length and mounting? The result!
Hello! This is my first post on the forum.
I started telemarking back in the early ninetees with leather boots and straight narrow skiis. Then moved on to plastic boots and widdr skiis with some waist. Then started skiing slalom Again for a long time. Last winters I rented telemark stuff some days, and found out that I miss it.
So, now I have invested in new NTN bindings. Boots is to come. Now I am going ta place an order for a pair of Salomon QST. But what with and what length?
I am 82kg and 180cm. Pretty good skills. My bindning fit over a 99mm ski, but there is wider stops if I need to. But is wider automaticly better? I ski booth off pist and on pist. When off pist it is moostly skiing in woods. Hopefully I will have time for some runs higher up as well.
Please guide me to the "best" with and length. Big thank you!

Not much answers here
I bought the Quest 99's and now left them for the workshop to mount the bindings center on the ski. I will also buy a pair of Scarpa TX Pro with inserts, if they have them in store. Otherwise it will be the Comp version. I tried Scott Voodoo and they don't fit my feet.
In 1,5 week it will be premiere on these skis! Looking forward to it a lot!

June-October is weird quiet months for ski forums.
What length did you end up getting? 175cm or so? It's a nice ski, you will like.

Nice looking ski. Good choice for someone with a slalom background.
Why don't I own a pair?

First of all: enjoy those boards!
I purchased a pair end-of-season April 2019. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, travel to the mountains of Colorado has been off the table for me for the past two seasons. No one in my neck of the woods knows squat about tele and tele bindings, and since I view those skis as overkill for Ontario hard pack, they've remained in my basement, unmounted, next to a pair of Vices. I've mounted other tele bindings myself, but never Vices. I have faith in the technicians in Fraser, Steamboat, and Salt Lake who actually know what they're doing.
I will be a happy so-and-so if I ever find myself skiing fresh Rocky Mountain powder in those skis.
I'm hoping for next year.
Meanwhile, think of me and my sad ski story for a few seconds when you bend a knee in fresh pow.

188cm long QST 99. Picked them up today together with brand new Scarpa TX PRO! I want to go skiing!
