Need new NNN BC Boots

I'm passing my Fischer BCX6 boots to my son because he outgrew his other boots. The Fischer were ok, but not durable. My son is still growing so he'll probably outgrow them and then I'll toss 'em.

I'm sticking with NNN BC. I have the Magnum bindings on two sets of skis and they match the type of skiing I do better than 75mm. I ski Sierra Nevada mountains on Fischer S-bound 112mm skis -- a lot of deep fresh powder and steep terrain but I'm just out cruising backcountry, breaking trail, and don't really shred anything. The 179mm s-bounds work well for me because I'm very light - 135lbs. I tried skis with more camber but could not compress them and they wouldn't grip for kick and glide or on ascents. So, yeah, looking for NNN BC boots.

I shopped and found Madshus Glittertind boots and Alpina Alaska NNN BC. Any others? Which one?

I like my Alpina Alaska. I use it with an Asnes Gamme and a USGI ski which is close to 70 mm underfoot. No lack of power. I own a S-112, I have it mounted 75 mm, however if I mounted it NNN-BC the Alaska BC would be a fine match. I have a couple seasons on my Alaska BC, however I won't say they were great snow years. However I will say they seem very durable, and they are warm. I am very pleased with the boot. They are also the best fitting boot I've ever owned, so that is a big plus for me.
If you're looking for a durable and powerful and warm NNN-BC boot, you should be pleased with an Alaska BC

I have glittertinds and I'm very happy with them. Pretty sturdy and warm. I feel comfortable in them both downhill and kick and glide, granted they are the only boot I have skied. I'm sure either will be a fine choice. Folks on here really love the Alaska and for good reason. I have never worn them, but in person they look like super high quality boots
