Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
I thought I would check out Teton Pass yesterday — it was kind of a bust.
Definitely felt out of my league on Voile Objective BC, NNN BC and Alfa Guards!
I got in a few turns, and there is definitely more there, especially under the right snow conditions (which was not yesterday afternoon).
The view was great, though!
Today was the view from the opposite direction.
Great slopes, lots of potential, a little slow at over 50*, but still loads of fun.
No pictures of the fun, too busy skiing.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
We went on a four-night cabin trip in the Reisa National Park for Easter, and for the last two days it snowed and it was fantastic. The last time we were in this part of the world at this time of year, it was -12°C and snowed every night... it's been a pretty catastrophic year snow-wise, but this was wonderful even so. The river was still frozen. Largely. We had to turn back because there was finally a channel we couldn't cross and the bank was too steep and wooded to be fun carrying everything (I wish I had pictures of the 'It'll be all right, we can stand on this' section that was severely not all right.) We skied a tiny, tiny bit of the Nordkarlottruta https://reisanasjonalpark.no/en/nordkalott-trail/
It's one of the most beautiful places I've seen in my life.
A gigantic river valley, proper bergs on either side with lovely fresh snow on top and elbow-breaky iced trails for the first couple of hundred metres.
When we got back home it was snowing. And we've had a proper dump of snow! Blue skies and temperatures of -4°C today! It's supposed to do this but this year it feels like a bonus dump.
We went alongside those reindeer tracks on the right up between the little mountains in the bg, really slowly and easily, and had a turn competition on the way down.
I think we have a couple more days left of this below 400m and much more than that a little higher.

Oh, Nansens. Nansen skis made by Åsnes Skifabrikk of Voss, Norway (195cm). For the mountains. I also used my Åsnes 'Gamme 54' 'Teal Man' 'fjellski' for the frozen river (200cm, teal), but that was only for one day. With skins. Pink ones made from mohair. And Åsnes 'Fram' turstaver. My boots were made by Lundhags. Size 44.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
An inch or two of fresh snow on April 7th made for some fun above 9000 feet (2743 meters) The wide angle lens makes Stephen's skis look pretty short, but they are Voile Objective's @ 178. The traction pattern on the Voile's worked like magic on the uphill grind.
