Fresh snow overnight in the Salt River Range of Wyo. Overcast and blowing snow today (4/15), so not the best for photos, but a very nice surprise.

@Tom M By nice surprise do you mean that you normally don't get snow in mid April?

Look at our snow in April… I go whenever I get the chance… lucky me our neighbour never plow the field on the last picture :D But when that happen I only have a few hours/minutes before it all melts down!

Mt Hood Oregon, where 80" of new snow was reported in the last week, with more on the way!

The Palmer lift on the right is always closed during winter and opens for Spring skiing and Summer glacier skiing through late August or early September.

I'm trying to make the jump from NNN BC / Leathers to NTN and TX Pros.
The learning curve is steeper than anticipated!
Took two days to figure out how to not spin out backwards on every turn.
Still revert to Alpine technique when I get ahead of my ability.
Seems like learning Telemark is more challenging than Alpine style.
When the Telemark works, it's pretty cool!

For La Blanche do you have to hike for a while or there is snow from the parking lot?
There should still be enough snow to ski all the way in, unless the residents have decided to plow the access road. Possibly some "trous d'eau" in the first few km, but I can't imagine they have less snow up there than the Gillespie in Sainte-Agathe, which looks like this:

@wabene This time of year we often get a mixture of rain and snow at the lower elevations (less than 7000 feet, 2133 m) and the sun is so powerful that the Southern slopes start to melt off pretty quick. The temperature of this storm was at the point that it could have gone either way, rain or snow, so it was a nice surprise that it ended up being snow. This is the month when I start hitting the higher elevations (9000 feet, 2743 m) but it takes a lot effort, as we don't have any easy access roads to the higher elevations near my home.

The Continental Divide at ~12,000’ in CO is looking alright after getting an inch here and an inch there most days this past week:

You can never have enough skis and boots.

At the risk of sounding like a stereotypical telemark skier, it's an epic 4/20 pow day at the Montagne Noire in St-Donat-de-Montcalm, dude... 10-15 cm of fresh snow on top of a *solid* base... E99s turning on a dime everywhere north of 600m altitude...
