Did you come to a result on how the BCX6 compared to the Alaskas for turning?

I had the 3 pin version of these and I thought they were way too soft for turns. They were pretty good for kick and glide though.

I sold my old ones for $80 a year ago. YMMV.

For what it's worth to future forum searchers, I got the BC-X9 75mm, because they were available cheap. Overall I'd say they are more for xc use to the intermediate level skier, but could make some otherwise boring downhill runs more interesting!
