I also did not like the feeling of not knowing if I was moving. even worse I was on an open ski resort trail and I could hear the awful skritching sound of snowboards and was bracing for impact.

I saw that a snow cat had gone up to the top of the Mesa I ski on. Took the SB-98s on the crusty track, had to use skins as it got steeper and side step up the really steep sections. Ski back down it? Nope! Went over the leeward side, powder was still a little too soft for the 98s.
