Shootin’ & Skiin’
Shootin’ & Skiin’
Thread for ppl who want to share photos of anyone shooting’ at stuff while on skis. Don’t need to be from Kentucky, in the military, or even shooting a gun… just shootin’ something… except yerself.
No biathlon photos please (ok to watch on tv during the Olympics, but we’ve all seen that hundreds of times over).
Just the photo, a caption, a brief explanation, or a link… dealer’s choice!

Re: Shootin & Skis
Sometimes you improvise. Like the Germans in this photo. An alternate item to break up a soldier’s outline and steady a weapon (because a rucksack isn’t going to stop return fire).

Capt. Woody Erickson of the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Syracuse office had no problems with Rybinski’s hunting technique. “Assuming all other aspects of hunting regulations are complied with, the act of hunting coyotes while on cross country skis is perfectly legal,” he said.
Practice of bow shooting from skis (Saami people). Serious talent and dexterity on display here!
More impressive stuff…

They’re on the gun… a Lahti L-39 20mm anti-tank gun, used by the Finnish Army during the winter war.
