I know they sell them at La Cordee in Montreal: https://www.lacordee.com/en/asnes-comba ... 224?page=1
@mca80 mentioned that they carry them at Norseman in Calgary, but I think you have to call to find out pricing and what is in stock: https://www.norsemanoutdoorspecialist.com/

I had read in various posts over a long period of time that the Breidablik were an edgeless NATO, and that they were an edgless Ingstad, and that the Ingstad was at one time the NATO. Do you know woods?Woodserson wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:08 amNot much difference except edges with the Breids and the Ingstads though.
For @LTDinPNW, will you be more focused on downhill, or the tour? Also, do you know if the Breidablik has nordic rocker? For the sake of getting something different you could go with whichever of these 2 is most different, i.e. if Breid has rocker, get the NATO; if it doesn't, get the Ingstad for some better downhill.

The Breidablikk is an edgeless Combat NATO (which is the same geometry as the original Ingstad)- which does not have any rocker.mca80 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 11:45 amI had read in various posts over a long period of time that the Breidablik were an edgeless NATO, and that they were an edgless Ingstad, and that the Ingstad was at one time the NATO.Woodserson wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:08 amNot much difference except edges with the Breids and the Ingstads though.
The current Ingstad may have the same overal sidecut as the Breidablikk, but it has a tapered and significantly rockered shovel.
These two designs perform very differently- despite their almost identical width and overall sidecut.
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

@LTDinPNW
Are you happy with the Asnes WL scale grip?

Thanks @lilcliffy!
I’ve been in conversation with Norseman this morning. They informed me that the NATO is not available in waxless. I’m looking for waxless model, so they are point me towards Ingstad. Sounds like sizing is similar to Briedablikks, and you suggesting the new Ings have rocker… is making me quickly move towards that ski in the 205.
Thanks

Thanks, that's what I thought but wasn't positive. So if guy wanted to vary his quiver more, plus get some further downhill ability, he would be better off with an Ingstad than the NATO. He basically has a NATO, sans edges. That said, if it's a good ski for him it's a good ski for him.lilcliffy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 1:31 pmThe Breidablikk is an edgeless Combat NATO (which is the same geometry as the original Ingstad)- which does not have any rocker.mca80 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 11:45 amI had read in various posts over a long period of time that the Breidablik were an edgeless NATO, and that they were an edgless Ingstad, and that the Ingstad was at one time the NATO.Woodserson wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:08 amNot much difference except edges with the Breids and the Ingstads though.

@LTDinPNW sounds like Ingstad waxless then eh? Good luck and I hope you enjoy!
