Old E99 seems to have lost pop and stiffness. What should I replace them with?
So my E99s are ooold. I bought them used a few years back. I was lighter when I bought them at 200ish lbs. I'm now 225ish.
Anyway I took them out for my first ski of the season and they seemed to be dragging a bit on the glide. Compressing the double camber too much I think?
Idk if its the age of the ski - which maybe has a foam core? It says "AIR CORE" on them. But im Not sure. I'll post a pic if someone can verify.
Or if it's because I'm heavier than I was. I've put on a fair amount of muscle (and a little fat, but my pants still fit lol)
Anyway should I replace them? If so with what?
I still want a metal edge XCd ski. Waxless. Ideally that can fit in a track, but also can handle downhills without issue.
Should I just get the transnordic 66 and hope the new ski will have more pop? Or look into a different model?

Beautiful ski! Thinking a 210-215 would be good. Teleking and i had those "Air Core" when they came out and when skiing them for the first-time doing camels Hump, all four skis had a tiny crack length of the ski down the middle. Poor Teleking, I had purchased them, and he skied them once (as did I) and they split. We brought them back and we split them again. They replaced them again but this time i slammed my knee and He Teleking didn't. He got a third set. he takes them out when the snow is serious powder and uses them when that happens. Mine are trashed but they were a wicked powder ski if you like skinnies which we do. Was on another set today in sketchy snow. Powder but no base, ohhhh no. On easy terrain they arced the way a ski should. Er can't define that! Arc on! TM

If you like them just hold out for a similar pair to pop up on the used market or grab a modern set. Can't go wrong, just check the camber upon purchase. If the skis lost their pop then that just makes them easier to turn and you can use those to learn turns on skinny skis
