Re: crampon vs skins
Sorry if my post was too long-winded to be clear.
Yes- ski crampons are definitely a thing (was not trying to suggest that they were not)-
they are for grip on ice and icy-slipperly steep tracks- they most certainly are common to "tele" in big mountain touring in icy condtions and/or extreme terrain.
They are not an either/or question vs skins.
One does not use crampons instead of skins-
crampons don't grip anything in deep soft cold snow.
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Re: crampon vs skins
I am skiing on Altai skin based skis, so i'm covered there. but I have been in situations towards the end of season on narrow, packed down trails that melted and froze, and just couldnt go any further on the steep sections. thus my interest in the quick crampon.
any idea on how these install under a 3 pin boot. or does it require heavy modification like drilling into the ski for a hold down bolt?

Re: crampon vs skins
@blitzskier I’m no expert on crampons as I don’t need them for my skiing. I have been on ski forums and read magazines before there were forums.
I think the eBay crampons you are looking at are for a tech binding. I don’t think that would work on 75mm.
I am attaching a link to Voile’s crampon page. You can see their different crampon types. As far as I know you will definitely need to drill and screw in a mount for crampons.
