Xplore screws sourcing

Post by Salto » Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:54 am

Hey. I emailed Rottefella but have not received a response.

I have one of the first issue xplore bindings with tiny short screws. Where can I source longer screws that work with the binding hole cut-outs?

Thanks!

I went with inserts and have a LOT of extra screws. If you can send a picture of your current screw and the length I can compare it to mine to see if it is any different. Let me know what you're measuring, whether it is the entire screw or just the length of the threads. I don't care which it is just so long as I know.

I'm about to dig out my ski stuff and start tuning. I don't know how many you need but I'm happy to drop enough for a set or two in a padded mailer and send 'em your way, gratis!

I picked these bindings up at REI for $60. They are missing one screw and the plastic screw covers... I would very much like to get a few extra screws. I was going to email Rotefella and ask for a few screws but since the OP didn't have any luck I won't waste my time.

If you'd like me to toss a few in an envelope PM me your address and I'll get them in the mail.

What length you using for the inserts? I just ordered Binding Freedom 10mm T20 Low-heads and wondering if I should step up to 12mm
(measured thread section only, not including head)

What length are your screws. I just bought 2 pairs and all the screws in both boxes are 16.3mm, though there is reference to longer 21.8mm screws in the mounting instructions.
