Wool insoles; Chenna Barbee?

Post by phoenix » Wed Jan 19, 2022 6:48 pm

After reading the posts about the Chenna Barbee woolen insoles, I went to their website; I was unable to place an order, so I emailed them about the issue and my interest... that was a few days ago and I haven't heard back.
Perhaps someone has been in contact with them recently? Or knows another source for a well made wool insole?

Just for clarity it is ChennaBaree. The insoles are available now at orthonatural.ca Many people on this site who have ordered have bought multiple pairs. I have automated significant discounts for multiple pairs so keep it in mind. Discounts are detailed on the site. A new version will be available soon which is 100% Canadian felt in 2 densities. A little bit thicker, warmer and all Canadian for those of you for whom it might matter. Your support has been super meaningful to me and inspired me to keep it going.

Hello Paul, I have a pair of Chenna Barre. I believe the company was sold a few years past. I like my wool insoles. I am not sure about the quality of the current product. If you decide to purchase, I’m sure many people here would appreciate your review. I don’t think I would have missed a review of this product since ownership changed

It sounds like @paulkasdan is the guy responsible for producing those great insoles.
I have bought from the old and the new site and really like them.
Will be interested to see what his new product is like.
For some reason, his post of the insole website didn’t come through as a web link, so here it is again:
www.orthonatural.ca

Here’s a couple of links from this forum on the insoles:

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2894&p=29965&hilit ... ree#p29965

I have no interest in this, other than recommending a good product based on personal experience and info from other forum members.

Thanks @Stephen That just proves proves how fried my brain is after a long 12 hour day! Well, that’s my excuse. I’m still a bit embarrassed.
@paulkasdan I am glad to hear you are producing virgin wool orthodontic insoles. When I need another pair I will search up this thread and order another pair. I couldn’t be more pleased with my original wool insoles.

Man, I am the worst person at promoting my own stuff. I didn't have notifications turned on so I missed some conversation in the thread. Thank you all for being so kind and persistent. Yes I am the original maker. Yes they are available. I am moving my stuff from Chenna Baree to Ortho Natural to focus just on insoles. Changes? the only change which I think is a big improvement is a micro-layered rubber bottom. What it is is thin layers of rubber (natural latex) applied to the bottom so that it sits on top of the wool like a sole. This has made them more durable and not to get filled with dirt on the bottom. For those of you who would want a less expensive option, check out the EveryShoes thick and cosy model. I can keep the price so low because there is no laminating and molding involved.

Paul, why don’t you post a link to your website? It would make it easy for people to find your products

Duh….again

Thanks! I updated my profile with the website, so I think it should appear beside my posts. Just in case it is orthonatural.ca. BTW I am shipping courier now until the Canadian postal strike is resolved.

If you order please use the coupon code "telemark" and I will send a FREE pair of EveryShoes thick and Cosy. They are my answer to people who want a trimmable, washable and less costly solution. I would appreciate feedback as it is a new line.
