Mine are 5/8" which is about 16mm. They appear super short. Especially for this 200+ pounder. Putting on a Rabb and seen the short screws pulled out on another thread last year.

Need the 20mm version.

What length you using for the inserts? I just ordered Binding Freedom 10mm T20 Low-heads and wondering if I should step up to 12mm
(measured thread section only, not including head)
I think if your inserts aren’t proud of the topsheet at all you could get away with 12mm screws on the front four holes. I get four threads engaged with the front 10mm screws, just under seven threads without the binding. So a difference somewhere just under 2.4mm. The rear screw and heel piece screws go almost a millimeter deeper after squishing the plastic.

I think four threads of engagement on machine screw should be better than 3-5 of wood screw though. Unless you buried any of the inserts below flush, I wouldn’t worry about 12mm screws.

My latest Xplore binding came with new screws of mid length (30800451: Screw kit Xplore Mid length, 14 pcs/bag) in addition to the regular short ones. They were longer and had more threads at the tip too, similar to older 75 mm bindings screws. The new screws had a smaller Torx bit though, so two steps forward and one back it seems.

I don't have a picture now and have not compared them directly as the bindings were mounted on skates with machine screws. I have added this info to the Xplore review thread: viewtopic.php?f=19&p=71084#p71084
