mountain-forecast accuracy?
Anyone have any comment on the accuracy of mountain-forecast.com? They are forecasting 11 inches on Mt Pinos here in S. California this weekend, followed by a week of cool weather. That would be fantastic to put an end to our devastating fire season, and also let me finally try out my new skis! Given their global coverage, I would expect the local news would be more dependable, but they don't get that precise about the mountains.

I've never seen it or used it but I'm pleased You posted it. I'll try it out. I use a number of weather resources at the same time to figure the weather out... I looked at the website and it seems worth spending some time on it.
Maybe someone can comment with experience using it.

I check 3-4 different websites and services till I find a forecast I prefer..
But seriously Windy is my goto. Works well for my sailing and skiing passions.

This weekend should be a good test. NWS and local news is predicting the heaviest snow to fall in the San Gabriels > San Bernadinos > Mt Pinos. mountain-forecast has the heaviest snow tracking further west, with 17 inches on Mt Pinos, 8 in San Gabriels, and only 5 inches in the San Bernadinos. They are predicting 11 inches at 6500 feet on Mt Pinos, which is around the first snow gate. Maybe the first skiing I have done without klister in years, as you usually can't get up to any snow until it has been sitting around in the sun for a few days. I am jinxing it with all this talk.
