Sbounds...leathers
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Highlands has been wonderful with long cruises and some decent turns. Rain now and around the house there is bare ground showing. Don't know what will be left when this is over but hope for the best. TM

Headed up Little Mountain yesterday with Teleking Telekid Tele woods and a friend named John who is learning to Tele. 7 inches and I figured it would be lots of bottoms getting up and close to earth but that did not happen. All the boys had wider short skis, and they had no trouble arcing around short steep drops with runouts. Bout a thousand verts from Boots Place to the top and half that to camp. There brew was consumed and all problems of the world solved. The ski down was really good and my old 109's really zipped and they too didn't mess anything but snow. Skiing was great with so little snow. At the bottom old farm roads in High Land Pastures from the past really added to the ski as the snow was fast and my 109's flew as did the others on their big skis. Showed off my old pair of Merrills from yester year which shoe glue put back into skiing mode. Damn 40-year-old boots!!!!! They, skis, and pins ripped, and I was along for the ride. Excellent day. TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Just a mention. Telekid is starting to ski shorter e 99's. As I was the first to leave would have liked seeing that. Need to get somebody up here to show how to put pictures up to see what I'm quacking about. TM

Meandered yesterday. Skis took me where they wanted and the trees were silent wrapped in a coat of white and sparkling ice. Here 2-3 inches of powder on hardpack to 8-10 there. Very laid-back skiing on my newer 109's. Got home and fixed the tips on my OLD 109's and will take them out today. Like them a lot better than the newer rocker and all that waste of effort kind of stuff. TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Teleknob was good today with hardpack base (4-8) inches with 6-14 inches on top. Depends where the winds blew. Rounded hills up there misdirect wind in many directions that have nothing to do with prevailing winds.TM
Re: Sbounds...leathers
Good ski yesterday with my grandson. High up in the hills with a decent base and lots of powder. Everything looked rounded and encased in snow which hid a few thingers just below the surface. Got some decent turns on the old e109's but in retrospect 99's would have been better. lots of cruising and some decent turns. Skied down Telekings "Private" trail and had a blast. About a four hundred vert drop that does not stop until the bottom. Hardwood forest at it's best. Easdy, moderate, and steep. Wild out there. TM

GT is your grandson on the E-99’s as well? Just curious, sounds like a great day and a great “private trail”.
Re: Sbounds...leathers
He wasn't on 99's but he skied well in the Bush. Hope he joins us this Sunday and ski's with Telekid who will inspire him to more challenges. Telekid is my son. He is a really good BC skier who does it all. In the Bush he is always aware and cautious when needed. TM
