Vintage classic leather boots: Scarpa?

While I'm familiar with the old Ash,o's, Crispi's, Merrell's, and Alico's, I've come across a very tempting looking Scarpa from that golden era of leathers. No model designation, but visually it's about like a Merrell Ultra or Asolo Extreme. My real question is if anyone knows how those Scarpa's were for fit. I did well in Merrel's and Crispis, and OK with Alico's, but Asolo's never fit, as much as I hoped they would... I think those ran kind large, and higher volume; wider heels.
So, any experience with those Scarpa's?

(I'll note that I've worn a bunch of their plastic boots, since the 90's, and their rock climbing shoes... but those aren't indicative of leather 75's)

From your description it sounds like you’re looking at a Scarpa Wasatch. They are one of my favorite boots! Similar to an Asolo Extreme as you mentioned, but I find them easier to tour with. They allow more range of motion and have a lower cut back allowing a longer stride length. It’s basically a taller cuffed Snowpine.

In terms of fit, the most important point is that it’s UK sized. I have a pair of the Wasatch in a size 6 and they’re a performance fit for me. Length wise, they’re a bit shorter than an Alpina Alaska in size 40 and a bit longer than Asolo’s in size 40. Volumetrically, I’d say they’re a bit lower volume than the Alaska’s (and maybe Asolo’s with the normal last, but don’t quote me on that as I don’t have any Asolo’s in my current rotation). I have a very high arch and instep and 100mm width feet.

Hope this helps and that they fit you! If they don’t and they’re a size 6.5 hit me up, I’d love to have a larger pair for longer tours or colder weather.

Thanks, that's helpful! I have some Alaska's, and tried on various Asolo's from that era, so your descriptions make sense to me. I do remember the Wasatch, but never tried them; the ones I'm looking at seem a little different than the ones I recall, but similar.
I'll double check on the size, the ad says they're a 9.5 but good reminder to make sure it's not British sizing.

IIRC the Wasatch was like an Asolo Extreme but for normal to wider foot. The Extremes fit narrower. The Wasatch and Extreme were laterally stiffer than the Merrill Ultras.

Scarpa from the classic era of leather boots may have a fit similar to Merrell Ultra or Asolo Extreme. If Merrell and Crispi fit well, but Asolo were too roomy, Scarpa might be similar. You have experience with their plastic boots, but leather ones may have a different construction.
