In order to turn a long skinny ski, one needs fast skis and wax does just that. This year the wax of the day has been lite green. Month after month. Like my older model 109's and forever the E99's. Yesterday with there being over 50 inches of powder for base and another 12-16 inches of "fresh powder one needs way big skis to surfatize, or you're going in. Super steep or wide long skis. Scored some Noodles a few years back from Dostie? out west. To heavy but yesteerday in bottomless they worked well with some decent rounded arcs for this old boy. Wind howling, trees bendin and snow hitting and freezing my face put on a face mask and goggles. That hasn't happened in years. Wild out there. TM

Here's a picture from about 7800 feet on Mt. Pinos. About 8 inches. If you're in SoCal, may be good for another couple days.ski-trail.jpg
Sweet! That looks great. Thank you for your thoughts. Amundsens are one of the skis I have been curious about.
