Anyone considering the Scarpa TXComp

Yes, there’s already a thread about the TXComp but it seems to have gone down a different rabbit hole.

I’ve been having great success with my new TXPros. Most comfortable hard shell boot I’ve ever had. Using it on the ski hill as much as I have has helped reduce the stiffness it originally had and is making it more flexible for non resort use. I’ve put myself down for a preorder for the Comp for a dedicated resort boot.

No, not considering the Comp. I’m a lighter boot guy. I’m not interested in the new Pro either, but willing to purchase a well broke in version of the new boot. I hope for a TX LT, that would be enough for me to go Outlaw or Bandit at the resort. I’m quite happy with Transit in the BC, it can be difficult to get back into on a steep icy inbounds slope.

Kinda spendy.

My 26.5 Tx Pro from last year is 1790 grams per boot. My new 26.5 Tx Pro weighs 1550 grams and has much better ROM for touring (though I don't tour).
The bellows on both softened up considerably with use.

Too many complaints about the cuff being really stiff. Most say the bellows flexes easily enough, however same claim the bellows is to far forward.
I have a new F-1 (old stock and a new last season F-1 Race) The only reason for me to look at a new boot would be to ski NTN at the ski hill. I am happy with TTS. NTN offers some features that may be nice at the ski hill. It would cost some dollars to go NTN, and neither the new Pro or Comp interest me in any manner. When I alpine skied, I skied Raichle Flexon boots. I need a boot that flexes at the cuff. Too many reports say that isn’t so.
I don’t think Crispi would fit me well, their 3 buckle NTN boot might fit my style, in regards to flex.

I don't see any need for you to get new boots, but a stiff upper makes it easier to flex the bellows. Otherwise, you just pivot forward with the heel down.
