There is this older film sequence of traditional telemark skiing that I have come across a couple of times:

Starting at 1 minute 12 seconds.

Would love to find out where/when it was filmed and who the skiers are.
Interesting, that was a good watch. The shredding on breakable Crust and wind loaded junk at the end was pretty sick too

Here is a video clip from last Saturday. I was skiing FTX’s and Alfa Guards.

That is the middle one of three runs at the spot (image below).

In the first run, it was cool to move from XC to downhill skiing without a transition. The last run was coolest. It was longest and had best snow, I skied a line between the two first runs. The middle run felt easy enough to hold a camera :D

Yesterday I was skiing an even lighter setup, old Atomic race beta XC skis and SNS Pilot sneakers. At the end of a long day trip, I skied down a 1 km toboccan piste of 5 and 15 degrees varying steepness for fun. I could link parallel turns most of the way, but telemark turns were out of question. At 10+ degrees even parallel turns got challenging, and I had to resort to J turns a couple of times.

With some too-soft-for-you classic skis, NNN skate boots and binding NIS plates set all the way forward, would you get an easy-to-downhill-ski XC setup? Such a setup may be less than great for XC, but great for videos shoots.
