Voile cable binding vs traverse
Voile cable binding vs traverse
Sorry if this has already been covered, I didnt find anything on a quick search. Is there any disadvantage to the traverse other than the cost? Also, is it possible to use the cable on the voile hardwire mount. Thanks!
Re: Voile cable binding vs traverse
The Voile cable will be easier to pivot . The Voile Traverse will be "edgier". If you ski at the resort, the Traverse will give better edging or carving.
Re: Voile cable binding vs traverse
Sorry for second post. The Hardwire hooks are not compatible with the Cable or Traverse. The old Rottefella Riva hardwire cable will fit onto the Voile cable binding.
Re: Voile cable binding vs traverse
The Rottefella „cable“, taken from the actual ST cable, also fits to the Voilé cable mount. That might be a descendant of the Rivas...
Re: Voile cable binding vs traverse
What I meant is, does the cable fit on the hardwire binding. I have the hardwire on a pair of koms and wanted to put the cable on my double cambered xc skis. I love the hardwires versatility but thought it might be nice to have a less stiff cable option.
Re: Voile cable binding vs traverse
No. It does not fit. You would have to modify the hooks to fit onto the mounts of the HWs.
