Also, to add to my above post on pg1, running this ski with the Alaska is going to be sporty, unless you have very good technique you'll not access the entire benefits of the ski. Keep an eye out for some used T4's for those days when you want more support (inbounds at Aspen). The scaled ski will be a little slower in dicey areas and I find it a bit easier to control with low soft boots when the next turn is a tree. YMMV

Woodserson:
Your input is just what the doctor ordered. The skinless/scaleless Objectives are an experiment to test two things: performance of modern wax systems and better float in ungroomed snow. Input from you and others on this site helps a lot with the learning curve(s).
One curiosity is whether the fully waxed Objectives will be a better fit than the waxless Tua Escapes 205cm that were used a couple of generations ago. I liked the Tua skis better than a light pair of E99 Crowns, which replaced wood Bonna 200cm based on pine tar (like I said, the slate is clear on modern waxes--looks like I missed some of the additives).
Waxing will kick off on Monday, after the local bindings installer finishes up. If we get another 68 degree day on Monday, I will wax outside and then try them out three hours to the East. I will keep your guidance in mind.
