We didn't know you were funny bb, that explains your "first time putting skins on " video. That was great.
Anyway, I gave up instant for the most part. The regular oatmeal (rolled oat) only takes 2 minutes in the microwave. My wife did find some that came in it's own cup, it was high priced, for oatmeal, but it was pretty good and healthier than instant. I forget the brand but it was in the healthy isle.
Whenever I do eat oatmeal I get real hungry after a couple of hours. I think it's too many carbs and not enough protein for me. The breakfast that I get the most mileage out of is eggs, sausage and home fried potatoes. I'm sure you want to keep it quick and simple but I think you need to add sausage or eggs.

Dude I just boil my real oats like AL and it takes 4 minutes? Quaker "traditional" so you know it's good.

@lowangle al I rarely take myself too seriously , but I try to make serious attempts at doing serious things eg. if you have suffered through my uphill vids, you see that I am trying really hard( serious effort), but all the times I fail, eg stepping into my OutlawX's, I can't help but laugh at myself...but I can see how my dry humor may actually sound serious.

It's obvious that you are a serious guy bb, with your dedication to trail running and taking on uphill skiing and racing and especially the fact that you were able to take a month and spend it at a big snowy mountain. Thanks for taking us along on your journey, this will be a month that you cherish forever.

That is one serious bear! Maybe it's to show how you're going to feel later sitting in the bathroom, after having enjoyed your morning coffee and fiber first, of course.bauerb wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 11:34 am3. Kodiak Cakes: I think the bear on the label and the word "kodiak" are meant to lead you to believe that this is not your beginner, green circle oatmeal. the aim in the marketing is targeted to black diamond breakfast buyers, and the rustic colors are supposed to make you think its what real mountain men eat.

I promised myself I wouldnt read or post in this thread, but I cant resist , I love oatmeal.
Any kind, instant, steel cut, quick, standard.
I look forward to it in the winter, its just so right on a snowy day.
I usually doctor it up though, raisins, nuts, chocolate chips, butter, strawberries, blueberries, banannas, whatever really, then a little milk or cream. Breakfast stew.
P.S. Al, you need to bacon up that oatmeal, thatll get you your protein. Apples, bacon, maple syrup, thats how its done son.
