Utah... Switzerland... let's call the whole thing off.
Ah, Switzerland!
I don't even care if the ski conditions are good. The dairy cattle basically live off arugula salads (the dairy is amazing), the local restaurants engage with local hunters, so the game is great (to paraphrase Homer Simpson, "venison cheeks....mmmmm!) and if you get a pizza, the tomato sauce started out the day on the vine!

Rained and spit snow all day at the house (11/7). When the clouds lifted, there was a dusting of snow and we had elk show up for dinner. They are starting to beat feet out of the mountains, so that is a good sign.

We're supposed to get some in the Wasatch as well. I may have to make an early season pilgrimage up to Targhee if we get delayed. GT is usually "in the zone".
just got to ski in 12 inches of heavy lake effect here on the south shore of superior. Leathers, 3pins, Guides. pure fun. May not last but there was actually a base under the fresh. it was a good taste for the season to come...

Good! Not much of the white stuff in the lower 48. Waiting for stuff to open north of the 49th parallel!
