Joe, life is too short to ski down hills with your skins on, but it seems to work for you.

Kinda, after thirty years of no klister I used some last year with less then optimal results. I typically go to no wax skis for wet and warm conditions. I would more likely use it for icy, abrasive snow if I felt a need to go out in those conditions.

Am I right in thinking that Fischer S-Bounds use a separate extruded piece for their kick zone crown and the Asnes (from pictures) appears to be cut into the p-tex base? I ask because I've been looking at the Finnmark waxless for skijouring with my dog, but haven't heard great reviews on Asnes waxless skis grip performance. I've never had grip issues with Fischer, Madshus/Karhu bases and would give up some glide for reliable grip. No, I don't want to wax. I like grab and go!
