@Vailkilledtupac Telemark-Pyrenees.com has Alico boots on sale. I ordered the Alico Arctic and it only took a week to get them. So far I’m having an easier time breaking them in compared to the ski March. The Teletour only has a size 46 listed. The Arctic in 41 43 45 46 47 If the size is not listed it’s probably out of stock. I don’t understand if you need a 46 42 or both?

@Krummholz good looks. That's a pretty good time frame. I was just speaking from my last experience in 2017 when I got some AT boots from them but it's good to know it doesn't always take that long.
In regards to the boot itself, I'm not opposed to the other models but, I am a 46 and, I'm a glutton for boots that take 100+ days to break in just because I'm REALLY hard on gear. That being said, it looks like the ski march might have a better sole for all my romping around with my skis off... but how is the velcro strap? That scares me a little but I guess I could always swap it for something else if/when it needs. Also, I'm assuming the stiffness is roughly the same?

I don’t know about the strap or stiffness on the new ones. I looked at the Artic with the strap, but I didn’t like how close it is to ankle bones, and I’ve got some gnarly boney feet. The one I got is the old British military surplus from eBay. Super stiff, gave up trying to break it in due to heel blisters. Size 43.

Good to know. I like the strap on the teletour because they have a dual action buckle that allows you to loosen it without moving the strap through the ratchet (if that makes any sense) so you can have more support downhill without the tightness on the way up. Seems like that doesn't happen with the velcro

Went to telemark Pyrenees and cane back and there's an ad displaying all the alico boots for sale on their site and now I'm thinking about the "double".... even though I can't help but think the name is based on how it's priced

A couple of points.. The Alico Double is a two part boot, leather outer boot with a removable liner. Still has the Velcro strap. If it had a ratchet strap that would actually do something then it would be worth the $$$.
