Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
It has been awhile since I’ve been in ROMO Park. We’ve had a good amount of snow and it was 16F this morning so I headed in and grabbed the Europa 99s to give Bowen Trail a try. The valley floor was great, passed a couple of snowshoe’rs, and 15 minutes later I was breaking trail. Once it started climbing I started slipping. Checked the snow temp, 1.6C, what??? The last storm was unusually warm. Put on the warmest grip I had, Violet Special. Struggled until I got to the Never Summer Wilderness. I need to modify the 99s to take an Easy-Skin, or just stick to the 98s. Then went to Green Mountain trail and did about a mile up/down with the SB-98s on another snowshoe trail.

Beautiful trail! Not easy in those skier tracks when the speed builds… nice use of the virgin snow on the side of the tracks.Krummholz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 7:55 pmIt has been awhile since I’ve been in ROMO Park. 2.6m and -30? Good on ya, @Theme
We dreamed of riding waves of air, water, snow, and energy for centuries. When the conditions were right, the things we needed to achieve this came into being. Every idea man has ever had up to that point about time and space were changed. And it keeps on changing whenever we dream. Bio mechanical jazz, man.

A trip to the Ditch Road, again. 6.5 mi, 1635’ gain, both on SB-98s. This time my ski buddy Mark was able to join me, first outing out together this year.

Damn the skiing out west looks amazing, this Midwesterner is jealous
Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Skiing is just fine in North Dakota.
The 185cm Asnes Skog did better on punchy breakable crust than the 175cm Sverdrup. I can tell that the Sverdrup will be excellent when the snow packs down further after a few more weeks of sunshine and freezing and thawing. Can't complain. It was 25F to 35F today. We managed to do over 1000ft vertical in 4.5miles. I will try to do the whole 14mile route on Monday.
