We finished slaughtering birds last weekend.
The hogs are going to the butcher first week of November.

Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

[But I did buy this beautiful pink beanie last year as a 'helmet'...

Nice hat Johnny. If it were me I would have bought two of them. In the event of a bathroom emergency you can shit in one and cover it up with the other one.

Re: Let's see your 16-17 quiver!
Not much for now... except pair of BD Expedition II poles and this pair of skis:
A deal directly from France... I never saw those on this side of the atlantic. The sub 80mm skis in that collection (Backside) were only shipped in Europe—the recent one at least (Shuksan and Backlite 2014 and up)... You could sometime find the older ones in the US, but that is a different beast...É y fa ty fret? On é ty ben dun ti cotton waté?

No way! I'm still thinking about it. Probably BMD Spike or similar...

I could hook you up with a pair of "strap" bindings...
Newest 3 additions. Thanks uncle Johnny!
I also have a pair of K'boom (Canadian version) on the way and I'd like to get a pair of Madshus Snow Pups (Chinese K'booms with Madshus graphics)
Might give Kim-Love the pair of Asnes... still waiting for Johnny to come back with a good trade

The key is that the universal binding is a true Nordic binding- the heel is free!
I have had my children on these as young as 16 months.
The first pair of toddler skis were given to us as a gift and were worse than useless- they had a fixed heel!

As soon as they can walk, and there is snow, we'll let them ski them.
Looks like that'll end up being around 13-15 months i.e. next winter.
As soon as they can actually ski, I'll retire those universal bindings and put them on NNN. The plan is to have them skiing NNN-BC eventually.

I thought that might help you get creative in getting the kids to Gaspisie.
