Removed the ski/walk-mode selector apparatus from my new NTN boots. The Garmont Priestess/Prophet (now Scott) is a wrap boot and even in walk mode has a fairly aggressive stance. The metal selector bar, button, and anchors weighed a few ounces per boot, removed easily with allen keys, and have not been missed.

I have and made it through the day without noticing. I'm either so good, it doesn't matter or I'm so bad, it doesn't matter. I'm going with the latter.

You guys had me thinking I might be missing out. I skied the T-4's at the local hill with my son. I really can't imagine walk mode doing anything for my skiing, I just do not move my legs in a manner that would move the cuff back in the walk mode zone, not even walking :?
Maybe when Woodserson figures it out he can explain T-4 walk mode to me

It's a gimmick in the T4's YO! It only allows you to go BACKWARDS more.... makes no sense

My wife teases me about this constantly, wonders why I bother with a ski mode at all. I used to put it into ski mode for steeps or ice, essentially when I was afraid.

It hasn't been in ski mode in quite some time, I guess I've evolved to realize that switch shouldn't control my fear or my skis.

Can ski plenty of line with T-Races in walk mode. Only can tell if speed is more on the high side.
