Tom, I’ve not figured that out yet! I’ve got ideas that involve rubber, screws, and glue. Simplest is almost always the best pathway. As you might suspect I’m concerned about destroying an expensive pair of boots. But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, though I’m not sure what I stand to gain… I won’t be able to start designing that part until after the bindings arrive so it may get more clear then.

I would skip the screws and just glue a piece that is partially pinned in place by the heel throw.JohnSKepler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:42 amTom, I’ve not figured that out yet! Re: Frankenbinding Advice
So, I have a set of Rottefella 75mm Super Tele bindings in my hands. My initial thoughts are that, with the cable/springs that come with the binding, either the Xplore toe or the Xplore binding will not withstand the forces for long term use. I'm also wondering how I'll hold the lever onto the boot without pulling the sole loose. It is a lot beefier and feels much more solid than my Meidjo binding. In fact, holding this thing in my hands the Meidjo seems kind of like a toy.
