Hey guys, can I ask to continue this in another thread or in private message or email?
We aren't going to solve anything here, I cannot change the background, so I'm powerless either way. I just hate to see a good and informative thread go down the tubes.
Thanks!

Could be downtown Fredericton as well.
Could be downtown most anywhere.

Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

It's OK - AFAIK you guys can discuss or raise any issue you want. Some might be better left as their own subjects though.lilcliffy wrote:Good point- my thought as well!![]()

Oh and FWIW it was my fault the background went from the mountain back to the girls!

FYI. The Asnes dealer in Calgary has Combat Natos in stock in 200 and 210 cm, I believe. I was interested, until I heard the pricelilcliffy wrote:I think I am going to talk to the folks at LaCordee and see if I can put a deposit on a 210cm Ingstad (or preferably Combat Nato) for next season...

This is great news- I haven't spoken to the Norseman for well over a year...been distracted by trying to get them out of QC- even had hopes that my wife and I were finally going to pull of a trip up there again this winter (and I might actually hold them in my hand before I bought them!)...
I will see if I can't pull off the Combat Nato from Calgary then- I like the Combat better than the Ingstad anyway!

23 pages about a new pair of skis. Already, lacordee is out of 190 Ingstads and up. When are you going to get them lilcliffy?lilcliffy wrote:This is great news- I haven't spoken to the Norseman for well over a year...been distracted by trying to get them out of QC- even had hopes that my wife and I were finally going to pull of a trip up there again this winter (and I might actually hold them in my hand before I bought them!)...

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad
Good question...
My cashflow was tight at the beginning of the season and during the holidays...
If the Norseman has the Combat Nato in a 205/210cm then maybe I can pull it off in the next couple of months...
Otherwise- I will save my beer money for next season!
I am willing to wait and get them long...I need to give up hoping to get them on clearance.

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad
Apparently, this retailer in Germany ships Asnes skis to North America - https://www.sportalbert.de/bgregoire wrote:I doubt Asnes become as easy to find as you wish in NA. Its quite a niche product. Few here are willing to pay such a premium for quality. I wish though!
Its expensive for sure (~$120 CAD to ship skis to Canada); however, they have stock and when I work out the exchange and factor in shipping I can get a pair of Asnes and NNN BC binding (at a package price, and minus the VAT) for a bit cheaper than the skis alone shipped from the Asnes dealer in Calgary.
Something to think about.
