The instructor shows how to avoid flailing rear ski. With leather boots, I have done that lately by moving weight backwards. With active bindings, do you use binding resistance to get the necessary pressure on the rear ski? Different bindings, different technique maybe?

Your technique should be the same with any gear, but your stance and body movement might change. The stiffer the boot and more active the binding the less body movement you will need to get the same amount of edging and stability as on lighter gear. An active binding doesn't help (me anyway) getting weight on the rear ski, but it will get that ski turning with less weight on it.

If you are not getting enough weight on the rear ski an active binding will help compensate for this deficiency.

Posting here because it might be an old Powderwhore/Unparalleled movie, maybe 2007-8-ish. There was a mock-commercial at the end about an auto repair shop that "serviced both kinds of vehicles, Outbacks and Tacomas!"

Anyone remember what movie it's from? It might also be MSP or someone else. It was a while ago.

Being old and tired as I am, freestyle skiing doesn't really do it for me, but this guy really shreds these old dynasties
