Very cool looking ski!!! Looks like some kind of polar scene on the tails. I like the tips of these, wide and rockered, very different from E99-type skis, should make great powder skis.

I'm kind of wondering how long of a wax pocket to start off with these. They might work well with a fairly short one seen as how they are so soft.
I put the skins on to see where the tail of skin went in relation to where my boot heel will be, it extends a couple inches past. I figured it might stop at my heel. The position of the skins seems to be well back on the ski. I kind of wish I would have bought the short Mohair version.
Hahahaha.... well even if had them mounted it's too warm for them... I'll likely do some S Bounding tomorrow.
Early to mid next week should be prime time, I hope. I don't think I'll have these figured out in one ski though. I'm even wondering where to mount my boot. I need to think on it some and do some more measurements on the wax pocket position. I think getting really good glide out of these will be challenging due to their soft nature.

Don'y worry Mike, they are sold long with the intention that you may cut them back if need be.
I live for the Telemark arc....The feeeeeeel.....I ski miles to get to a place where there is guaranteed snow to do the deal....TM
I thought they were only sold in one length, long enough for their longest skis. Then, its up to personal preference. Personnally, I would always go for mohair for XCD or backcountry skiing. They are plenty tough and offer much nicer glide.
