Scarpa T4 sizing

"I wasn't clear-I got ahold of new T4s that are 28, and my measured foot is 27.5.
It wasn't a shop's recommendation, it was one of the backcountry touring guide outfits. He recommended a 28 if my foot measured 27.5. Will liners shrink somewhat from heat molding?
Otherwise, the closest shop is the Mountaineer-too far to go to from my area in NY."
OK, gotcha! Makes sense, 27.5 and 28 are the same shell. As fr as the liner shrinking, heat molding expands the foam so the liner usually feels tighter, then conforms... and packs out over time and does become thinner.
I'd trust the folks at the Mountaineer, and the local guides, didn't know that's who's been helping you (FWIW, I worked at the Mountaineer for several years, guided climbing for a few seasons).

I hope this winter to get in some skiing in ADK, I'm just south of the Catskills.
