Too bad. I think there is lots of skiers interested in conversation about XCD including myself. I think its the only way tele will ultimately survive and theres lots of great equipment out there old and new for XCD on both the light and heavy end of the spectrum. Plus anyone from the west east midwest can get into it without the need for big mountains or all-star skills. I dont think anyone wants to come into this thread and contribute for fear of being bitten by the resident monster that lurks and lashes out from the bowels of this site. I mentioned a couple tips that might help depraventele ski a little better in his video making mention of a little bit of carving and the whole place blows up with his rage towards tele carving. Can we have a ravingtele-free XCD thread that he wont come shit in? I doubt it.
Please start one. Most of us here LOVE XCD - a few are actually good at it . I hope you don't think there is some rage against tele carving. I personally have no interest in it, but I don't hate it. Other people talk about it on other threads and I keep out of it.
As far as the resident monster - that's just Ron. He's a bit crazy and uncivil, but if you start your own thread and ignore him, he'll leave you be.
As crazy as it sounds he actually once in a while has something useful to say - you just have to dig through piles of his feces to extract it.
Feel free to have fun and joke around a bit. Not everything has to be so serious. I appreciate good and accurate information, but also a little joking around too (like you I don't appreciate the bullying).

Nobody wants to dig through that pile of crap. Do YOU think he would stay out of a new XCD thread? I just dont think he has anything to contribute. I like how you say hes 'a bit crazy' - you are just joking right? Hes full on over the top spraying spit foaming at the mouth crazy from what Ive seen so far. Whats with all the distorted pictures posted earlier in this thread? THOSE might be a good contribution but you cant tell what is going on behind those photoshop filters...
connyro - I get your pain. I have no idea what he might do... and yes I'm being as nice as I can. Ron and I have our differences sometimes.
Try it and see. I'd love to see what you have to share. If it bothers you too much then you'll have to leave, because I think Ron is here to stay, like him or not.
I can offer this bit of advice when dealing with raventele. Don't provoke him unless you want to argue incessantly. That means any type of criticism, especially on a thread that he started... for some reason that matters to him. If he attempts to goad you, just ignore it unless you want to have a bit of banter.
I know it seems silly but you have to treat it very one sided, Ron-sided. It's like dealing with a cranky little boy.

Spokane/Ski Lookout had the most snow in the world right now people wouldn't travel to ski there, just like they wouldn't travel to ski any of the other dozens of small hills in the intermountain west. It's kind of a last resort cop out and it's a bit disappointing coming from a man of your obvious genius.
Say, why don't you come on down and ski Bluewood with me on Saturday and give me a free clinic in advanced telemark technique?
Say what ? you are less than 3hrs from here Shitshow.. Bluewood ? Right, i've slid around on all the rocks and mud I care to for the season..I will be surprised if that bunny hill is even open this W/E

LOL. Yes a palette knife filter and a poster frame effect? Wow. No wonder he needs 5 - count them 5 linux servers. Thats some heavy duty processing you need for photoshop presets.

28-35" base at Bluewood, there's no mud. How can you slide around on rocks and mud at the snow mecca that Ski Lookout is? You're only 3 1/2 hours from Bluewood.
It's okay, we all know you're full of shit and so do you.

Lookout seems pretty gnarly. 1100 foot vert and a whopping 10% expert terrain. Wow. No wonder depraventele is such an expert.

Photoshop ? How many times can this chud be wrong and not get bounced outta here , LJ? Mostly I am using Picasa3.9 on Linux boxes running in emulation (wine)..Photshop ? Get the fk out! Have not even started that up in over 15 years! Who needs it ? Windows and Apple are for..LOSERS! Sometimes I fire up The Gimp too..and maybe even gthumb --great little app for quick and dirty..
Sometimes filters are just for fun..But a lot of the time they actually improve the overall image quality for various reasons..If you are too dull to enjoy a little abstract or surrealistic art, not my problem.

Dudes... c'mon. There isn't a joke or cheap shot that hasn't been made about Ron's photo threads.
How's about you start your own and let him have his? Seems fair, eh? You guys are beating a dead horse. We all get it. Let Ronny have his little sandbox to play in and you guys can move to the next one. If he comes and pisses in yours, then let him have it...
