That is very sad news. Before the old site was hacked, I posted fairly regularly. And that included some personal contact with Mitch. After the hack, my old posts were gone. About that time, when I was beginning to blog, and was slowing down with age, I was much less active on the forum. I was not posting during the last year that Mitch was running TelemarkTalk. And yet, several times each year since it has vanished, I search to see if there is any news about where he has turned up.
When I was learning to telemark, and beginning to explore the mountains north of Vancouver, being a part of TelemarkTalk made me feel like I was part of a wonderful community. I miss what Mitch created for all of us. Now I am sorry that I will never be able to tell him that.
My sincere condolences to his family.

So many people were brought together through his efforts. Here's to Mitch and the long shadow he cast.

Here's a little something I downloaded from TTips in the 90's. It was a 20 part series back then that I pasted together. Still one of my favorites.
