Nice article on gentrification of outdoor rec

I particularly like this quote as I've seen it used as weaponry against individuals:
God forbid you go to the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) and have an amazing adventure, its not Tajikistan so its clearly not worth investigating.
This is the kind of thing I hope a forum like this goes against, although maybe a forum doesn't need an identity like that, it would be a good one to have.

Ending on that note: Have fun outdoors no matter where you are!

That may be true Connyro, but trolls like the UP, and yoopers really don't mind trolls as much as they like to say they do ;)

Yeah, I don't have a problem with trolls, but those people from Wisconsin are a different story...;) besides, tourists usually stick to the beaten path, leaving the vast majority of the BC for locals.
