Using collapsible Trekking poles as ski poles?

If Skiing involves climbing are Collapsible Trekking poles ok to Ski with Powder baskets?

As long as they get long enough, they should be fine. The Black Diamond ski poles I, and many others, ski with are nearly identical to their trekking pokes. Powder baskets are key in untracked snow. Adjustability is also extremely nice in the backcountry. Adjustments are also nice for touring across a slope, uphill skinning, flat skinning, skiing downhill....

I'm pretty sure my ski poles are trekking poles. Either that or they are ski poles that I have used for trekking

I take the baskets off in the summer and put them back on the winter.

I don't know if all ski poles have a carbide tip, but it's kind of nice for hiking on rock. It also punches through ice easily.

I never worried too much about it. Some of the really cool poles are 2 way telescoping - which makes them nice for carrying on a pack when they are collapsed. Not sure if those would be ideal for skiing due to the lack of stiffness.

I've got some Leki corklite, something like that, they have carbide tips, they are tough, served me well in the Wind River range and rainier.

I'n my experience, they do. At least as far as I can remember.... I know the BD ones do. Also replaceable, which is nice. (Also for hiking on rock! )
