Voile Charger: Pair with X2 or Axl?

I recently picked up a pair of 191cm Chargers and I'm dragging my heels on mounting them due to binding indecision.
Any one have experience skiing them with Switchback X2s or Axls? Or even both?
I know I love Axls on everything, but it is tempting to keep weight down and touring ability up if the X2s have enough cojones to drive Chargers.

Might be some relevant info here regarding Chargers and SBs - but mainly meadowskipping/XCD type activities.

I think they have the same hole pattern (except for two extra ones in the Axl). You could install some insert (Binding Freedom for exemple). And put whatever binding you like for a specific day
But... Does that make sense? Not sure... Chargers aren't made for hard snow, no need for the extra «oumf» that the Axl provide... I would definitely put SB X2 on them...

The standard 4 hole tele pattern is actually a little narrower than the 6 hole Axl/HH pattern. If only it were that easy!
And while the Chargers certainly aren't hard snow specific, they'll be skiing it sometimes. Every day can't be a powder day!

Don't worry... The X2 are active enough...

IMHO, the difference in performance between the X2 and the Axl is small, and for skiing offpiste, the difference is nearly non-existent. I don't think you can go wrong either way. I have skied them both and have a small preference for the X2 because it's lighter, slightly simpler, and I've used it more.
