Objective waxables, anyone?

First, I want to say how much I appreciate all the excellent reviews and opinions I've read here this year... since I left the (xc/bc/tele) sales and tech world several years ago, I haven't really looked at what's around. As we speak, I'm on the verge of pushing the button for either the Annum, Kom 162, or the Objective's (these are calling).

My main question is whether anyone's been skiing the waxed model? I've only read about the BC, which I was leaning towards- but I just came across some taxable Objective's for an unheard of "low" price. Having skied waxables for 40 years or so, there's no problem with waxing ( until of course it's upwards of freezing, and not yet morphed for klister). And I know it's the same ski as the BC, but for the base. Just curious, if you've skied 'em, if there's anything particular to note about the waxable version. They'd be for skiing typical Northern VT (think: a few miles from Jay Peak) terrain and conditions. Thinking the taxables and kicker skins may be an even more versatile option than the BC's.

FWIW, I have both vectors and they ski the same except for the slight drag the BCs have when going slow on crusty snow.
My guess would be if you like the reviews of the BC version you will like the ski.

FWIW I don't think the "wax" model is a "WAX" model as the S-Bound series were... it will be a glide-wax ski with skins for climbing as opposed to grip-wax.

I thought I could grip wax my vectors before I saw them, and once I saw how little camber they had, realized this was out of the question-- for the most part.

I may eat my words here, after reading LowangleAl's post in lilcliffy's thread:

I have to disagree with you here Mike. I've been waxing single camber skis a long time and it's just not true. The only time my kick wax came off quickly was when I put it on top of a freshly hot waxed ski. I can go for days without reapplying wax on normal snow. On abrasive snow it will wear off both double camber and single camber skis, especially if you are making turns. I would like to note that many times I'm on single c and the wife is on double c so I had a lot of opportunities to compare.
