The Snowy Range actually has the most snow in country now according to Snotel. 34 inches in some places. Just went there today. :D

Got up to ski camp today. There's a foot of fluffy LES without ANY base. Good for K+G but bad for turns. It was down to 9F last night and it sure seems like wither has set in. I am not even remotely ready.

maybe an inch in the Blue Mountains (NE Oregon/SE Washington). More coming tonight, then melting again. Last year I was (XC) skiing by this time, but that is unusual.

I heard that Great Divide Ski Area (near Helena, MT) is opening next weekend.

are you skiing the Trichome Range t-$? Congrats on your victory and welcome to the club. Wow, come to think of it, almost all the good sking states have legalized....coincidence? I think not....

Early-season New England is the best in years - 30" base at 4000 feet in Maine and New Hampshire already. Wildcat ski area opened 90% of their trails this weekend. hopefully the cold weather keeps going. Quebec must be good too....

the trichome range is the best skiing in early and late season. hell, all season, really! and i agree, probably not a coincidence like you mentioned canna.

thanks for the report...our lakeeffect machine is getting turned on now and have been getting light stuff on and off all week. gonna hit the trail again tonight and check some conditions in the woods. can't be worse than last weekend, hahahaha! have fun out there..
