Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...
Do you guys know the beast? Some say it's alpine camber, some say it's low, some say it's high... Could someone give a clear view of how these freakin' skis are?

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...
Hi, I'd say M62 has almost alpine chamber, but it's higher and stiffer than my old Åsnes V20 (68 mm waist). M62 does not have any nordic rocker. In comparison, my M55 has both nordic rocker and double chamber. I guess it's time to take M62 out for a small ride tomorrow. Greetings from Southern Finland.

Oh man thanks... Are you sure about nordic rocker? I've read on this forum that it was the contrary: M55 had no nordic rocker and M62 had some...

I checked again, and you are right, M62 has also nordic rocker. And M55 has even more of it. Please see the images below. They are not quite in same scale, but the difference is clear.

Alright! Now you are talkin'! With proofs... Thanks very much; you are eliminating the confusion.
I do not want to abuse, but could you be more precise about the camber of M62? Does it compare to some other ski you know? You already did by saying it was higher and stiffer than Asnes V20; Is it possible to be more precise? If possible...
Grazie Mille!

From theory to practice today: 10 cm of new snow of hard base, glide and grip waxed base. M62 is very fast compared to waxless Annum both downhill and when covering distance. Both have 185 cm length. However, there is a penalty. Annum turns much better on todays soft snow. M62 has nice bounce when striding over uneven terrain, so I'd conclude that it has stiffer chamber than Annum.

Could you squeeze them easily, though?
Euh... May I ask: could you post a picture of M62 sole to sole... I know, I know, I might ask too much...

Thanks! They look like my old gen Glittertind (the red ones with flames). They seem to have a higher camber than the Eon.

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...
Thank you so much for starting this thread on this ski (and the comparison to 55 also!!)
It at least appears to me that the flex and performance of the M62 sounds similar to the Eon (at least in the snow you are skiing in). Your comparison to the Annum is appreciated as well!
The M55 sounds and looks like a Madshus BC55/Glittertind (blue model Glitt) with a Nordic-rockered tip.
(I know that this thread is about the M62- sorry- but what is the shovel-tip flex of the M55 like? Soft like an E99 Xtralite, stiff like a Gamme 54- or somewhere in between?)
Have you tried the M62 in very deep soft snow yet?
Thanks again!
Gareth
