Nice to see a technically written advertisement on something that preys upon my tight wallet... cheap boots are cheap boots, and are generally putting cobblers out of business.
Why purchase $200 boots that can be resoled for $70 every few years, when a brand new cheap pair is available for $50 and has to be renewed every couple years? The economics of it cannot be argued. So much access to hiking boots is a good thing, even if it's canner grade boots. We could only wish the telemark boot market had this dilemma, but at least most the tele boots available are prime.
