So, I was talking to Voile today about another question, and also asked about the difference between the HyperVector and the V6 for this new setup I’m looking at.
He confirmed, just as has been recommended here, that the V6 would be a better all-around ski than the HyperVector.

I found a local shop that has the TX Pro in 30 and the T2 in 31.
Going in for a fitting on Wednesday. Hopefully, one of those works (hoping it’s the TX).

Stephen,

I just watched the first video here:
https://www.the-m-equipment.com/en/cate ... -pro-us-en

That looks like a really nice binding/boot/ski setup. The MEIDJO seems to do just about everything. Did you get the alpine heel?

I’ve got both. The Ultravectors and V6. The V6 is more of a soft snow ski and has more rocker then the Ultravectors. The v6 are easier to turn then the Vectors but are not so great in harder snow. The Ultravectors kick and glide a lot better due to less rocker and stiffer. Vectors are great in just about every condition the tips and tails are noticeably stiffer then the V6. If I am doing a long day in the BC I reach for my vectors because they are better for kick and gliding. If it’s a soft powder day and just want to do a bunch of laps I grab my V6. I have the scaled version. I wouldn’t recommend kick wax because of the mess and hassle and getting the right temp, just put skins on. If you are touring alot get the scale version.

As for boots and bindings I have the full Scarpa line. I absolutely despise the TX Pros and trying to sell them. Range of motion sucks and they don’t tour great. I would get a pair of TX if you can find them. I scored a pair for reasonable price. Lynx is a great binding but they have problems with the claw grabbing when touring. The new version is suppose to fix that issue. We will see.

I tend to spend more time on my 75mm setup Axl and Switchbacks and Hardwires. I find NTN way too active even in the soft settings. For 75mm I use my T2 for steeper terrain and my T4 for more longer tours. The T1s only come out in the late spring when the pass opens to bigger terrain in my area. Just my 2 cents.

Wahoo, pins, springs and things aplenty. Glad you were able to get all set up before it was all sold out for the season.

Now, just add snow. Seems a bit like last year, with a slow start?
Or, maybe I’m just impatient, and have bad memory…

I found this Voile tech tip to be helpful in comparing all their skis, including the two mentioned.

@stilltryin, thank you for the very helpful link.
Once again, manufacturer descriptions make it clear that I WANT THEM ALL!
