Hey guys, I talked to Emmanuel from Novafor in Blainville Qc... They are the distributor for Andrew Boots; they are going to order some Rifugio in different sizes...
I'll let you know when they are going to receive it.
Isn't it cool?

I went to Andrew's site, I saw that the distributor was in Quebec, I gave them a call... Voilà! The guy told me I wasn't the only one. Usually, Novafor carries Andrew Boots for climbing... And they always tell themself that they should carry some tele boots... Now is the time!

Good luck with the boots Rod. I always wanted a pair of red leather Andrews.

Why are almost all leathers black, and a couple red? Why no natural brown? Btw, how do those boots fit? And how does one go about resoling ski boots? Can you just purchase a new 75mm sole?

How do Andrews fit? Wide? Narrow?

How about duckbill thickness?
By the look and proportions, it seems thick (at least thicker than Alaska)... well, it's a norwegian stitch type of construction. And there is 2 shanks (or midsoles). Not frail Thermo glued... I think that's the one Alpina copied for the Alaska.
As far as fit, not sure... I heard that they are on the small side of things (might want to get a size larger). These (Refugio) are the only ones they send to NAmerica — I am guessing it has something to do with toe box width (wider)... The pure Italian boots seems a little finer in width; I bought a very expensive Italian randonnée boot many years ago and they were snug in the toe box... Whatever. I will go and try them.
