I picked up these Garmont Telesaurus on ebay pretty cheap. One of the lightest plastic boots out there. Thanks to @Lo-Fi for finding them for me!

They are in good shape and fit okay but one of the soles has delaminated. I know what I’d do but I’ve never done a Tele sole. How would y’all fix this delaminated sole?

And is there a ‘new’ liner I could put in these that could be thermo formed? Something with a tad smaller fit would be perfect.
I love the hideous color scheme!

Maybe ask Garmont what adhesive they use…or recommend?

If the respondent doesn’t know, ask them to refer you to a factory authorized repair facility… and ask them.

Barge cement is what I’d use.

The world is your oyster for liners. The intuition website will tell you how to measure the inside of the boot and your foot to get suggestions. Most tele skiers I know prefer tongue liners over wrap liners, but sometimes the wrap can provide some extra ankle support if needed. Don’t worry too much if the liner is a fair bit taller than the boot.

Yep. I've used it to glue a half dozen Vibram outsoles back onto Scarpa pebax boots, and never had delamination problems afterwards.

Contact cement like barge is the standard glue for apply soling to shoes. Make sure to use a thin layer on both surfaces and allow adequate dry time and then pressure the two sides together. If it doesn’t stay together you can the resort to a flexible cyanoacrylate like Boot fix glue. Contact cement is the soling standard as it is flexible but isn’t the strongest adhesive. The flexible cyanoacrylates are not as flexible as contact cement but have a stronger bond.

The cheap weld wood contact cement sold at hardware stores actually works well on soling. It comes in handy small bottles also. Sometimes they even have a brush attached to the lid which is the best way to apply contact cement. But sometimes there is only a plastic stick on the lid. This is easily remedy by buying a 50 cent rosin brush from the plumbing department,cutting the handle shorter and sliding it over the plastic stick.
