Alpina Volume-control plate, Sub-insoles
Alpina Volume Control Plate. An insole that is inserted under the shoe's regular sole. The sole builds up about half a size and helps reduce bulk in the shoe, perfect if you're between two sizes or just want to reduce bulk for a better fit. The sole is cut to the right size and is available in sizes 37. (34.5-37) 40. (37.5-40) 43. (40.5-43) 46. (43.5-46) 49. (46, 5-49)

I've been doing that for years in with some boots as I have a low volume fit, but not from Alpina; just some flat basic insoles, or any soft thin insole so it won't overdo the arch support. Wool felt soles work nicely if the right thickness.
