Old 2-buckle t2 as a step up from excursion?

Hey all,
Looking for just a touch more support than excursion. I can get a pair of mint t2 2 buckles for about $80. I would put a thermo liner I have in them.
Thoughts on this boot for all bc skiing with voile vectoring and x2s? Mostly lowercangke 30 degrees and lower but can hit variable snow conditions along with perfect pow.
Excursions are great in pow and predictable (even form) snow, but not good in variable conditions.
Tx!

Yes, those would be a little more capable than the Excursions (especially sice they're in mint condition, and not skied to death), and some Thermo liners are a nice touch. T2's served me well for a number of years, including the 2 buckle version. A little higher cuff, better power strap, and (for me) a much closer fit. Certainly not a stiff boot, but stiffer flex than the Excursions (which I have also, and recently sprung for some new T2 Eco's, for my Ultra Vectors and Waybacks). Still like the Excursions for a comfy warm slipper boot for touring with some turns with my Objectives.
The T2's do have, or will develop, quite a bit of rocker launch, but still ski well.

I thought the T2 was always a 3 buckle, with T3 and T4 being 2 buckle. Could your T2 be modified?
Regardless, a T2 should be stiffer and higher in the cuff. It should offer more support.
Good luck

I had the green two buckle T2s. They should be a good upgrade without feeling much different to you. It was a smooth transition for me coming from leather boots. Not so much going from them to a four buckle boot.

Thanks for feedback. I may give them a shot and see. Seems old tele stuff is getting a touch harder to find, 5 years ago was plentiful and cheap.

TThere were a couple of versions before the 3 buckle version. Lowangle al mentions green ones, which would have been the earliest version; my references are with the blue version. There were some noticeable improvements with the blue generation over the earlier.

Yup. I am liking at the two buckle t2 in blue. Could be great with the right liner. They appear (but could be totally off) to be a touch shorter than 3 buckle versions yet taller than a t3.

Check the bellows area and the boot toe box where it meets the sole for cracking, also around the Tnuts at the cuff; a plastic boot as old as those 2 buckle T2s could possibly have some issues.

From right to left: t2 eco, excursion, t2 terminator, t4
Various sizes between 10 and 11 usa
Excursions and terminators have their liners swapped
