Re: World Telemark Day March 1st, 2025
I'm not a great skier. Learned as an adult and haven't been doing it that long. I telemark for my knees and while I'm getting better I still look like I'm learning and am even, officially, handicapped. This event sounds like it might be fun but in the past I've had little kindness from more accomplished tele skiers towards those of us who haven't had the benefit of long-term snow sport exposure. This isn't universal and I have great appreciation for those who have helped me, you know who you are. I've definitely found it is much worse at a resort than for back or, especially, cross country where the people tend to be much nicer.
How would you honestly describe the attitude of this gathering because I've got a new-to-me 4-season camper I'd love to start using for my winter adventures but I'd prefer to avoid the elitists.
