I have a pair of 28.5 crispi shivers 4 buckle version, the brown/white model. Think it is at least 10 years old. It fits me really well. Maybe a little bit loose, but really comfy. However the bellows just released at the front edge. Not sure if this can be fixed? Also, I would like to find a boot which is higher and with tech fittings.
I bought a pair of 28.5 tx pros blue/orange version a couple of years ago. They are painful in the toe and I slide around in the heal more than in my shivers even though I have the middle buckle all the way in.
I prefer the height/stiffness of the txpros when compared to my shivers. How is the crispi evo compared to the shiver/old tx pro? I heard that the new txpro was even narrower than the old one? So no go for me.

Your foot is way different than mine (I think, since I find the Tx Pro from this year and from 5 years ago comfortable). The Evo is stiffer in the sole and bellows. Dropping a knee put me more on my toes than on the ball of my foot. Also, they didn't hold my heel down very well.

It has to be about the fit first. I’ve read good things about the flex of the Shiver boots. I fit Scarpa boots, I believe the Crispi would be too high volume for me. I would think the opposite would be the case for you.
If you’re just walking on carpet, they are returnable. I know that isn’t skiing, but it gives you a reasonable place to make a good supposition of how it will feel skiing

Call Erik Fey in NH or Martin Fey in CT at aspinockwoods.com aka Telemarkdown. They should be able to answer your specific questions.

The bellows issue might be tricky, but a boot repair shop could help. You could also try swapping the liner if it's worn and affecting the fit.
The Crispi Evo is a bit stiffer and higher than the Shiver, so it could be what you're after
. It also has tech fittings. As for the TX Pro, yeah, the newer ones are narrower, so the Evo might be a better fit for you.
