Dave's Nordic Backcountry ski page - RIP???

Post by bgregoire » Mon Dec 14, 2015 11:46 am

Hey, anybody notice Dave's Nordic Backcountry ski page is down?

https://home.comcast.net/~pinnah/Dirtba ... rtbag.html

Does anyone have contact with him? There's some precious & unique info on that site, we should try and salvage it and immortalize it elsewhere....

Hard times for XCd....
I live for the Telemark arc....The feeeeeeel.....I ski miles to get to a place where there is guaranteed snow to do the deal....TM

Does anyone else read on this board ;)

I asked Dave if he would let us host his site in the archive. No answer. I'm not holding my breath he's going to go for it. This forum isn't exactly held in high regard by some.

Well, nice to know the content is alive...

I admit, I had not noticed that other conversation, the title is, dare I say, a little unclear?

It's OK - I'm just joshin'. I forgot stuff I posted a few days ago and most likely talk about it again.

You dared to say it, and I respect that  I authored the unclear title, and your comment made me chuckle this morning. On a serious note, I'm glad others find Dave's site important.

Getting back to your comment, now I'm going to have to pack up my XCD gear and drive to Rimouski, and pick u up and drive to the Chic Chocs. You're going to have to guide me for a weekend in the Chic Chocs to make up for that!!! :D :D

Happy Holidays friend!

I appreciate your offer immensely. I've been trying to find a friend or two willing to drop off the face of the earth for a week and drive the 16hrs to the ChicChocs for years now.

You will be the first to know when I find somebody!!
